It's been a hell of a journey getting to this point, and I still can't quite believe I'm here. I felt the new card through the envelope before I even opened the letter- the culmination of the last 2+ years of hard work- and still had to double check that it was actually my face on the front of it!

Any other communication professionals with NRCPD will know that newly-qualified feeling. Pride, joy, apprehension, relief, all in spades. For now I'm trying my best to focus on the pride and keep looking forward, knowing I've got my other newly-qualified colleagues to set me straight if I do start having any imposter syndrome wobbles.

All this to say, I stand (type?) before you a very proud BSL-English Translator, and a fully qualified one at that. I can't wait to see where this takes me next.
